Christopher’s contribution

Coordinating the people, materials, logistics, and decisions behind the build.

The assignment

From early Oklahoma crew hiring and remote planning meetings through the Pennsylvania build, the work centered on recreating historic environments with care—balancing cinematic needs with close attention to the architecture, materials, proportions, and visual character of the period.

Construction brief

Scale, scope, and execution

  • Extended planning, hiring, prep, construction, filming support, and later strike
  • More than 1,000 linear feet of two-story scenic architecture
  • Production supported 846 regional jobs

Led large-scale period construction from extended prep through filming and later strike.

Oversaw the recreation of colonial Philadelphia streetscapes, institutional interiors, churches, residences, and revival-era environments, with historical references guiding proportion, finish, and detail.

Managed scenic carpentry, structural framing, finish work, paint, plaster-style treatments, metalwork, installation, maintenance, and teardown.
